There's nothing like old fashioned biscuits and gravy in Santa Fe Park first thing in the morning to launch Operation Celebration 2009!

8:00 - 12:00     Doyle Valley Farmers Market
Enjoy the season's first pick of fresh produce, herbs, and flowers when you make a stop at Santa Fe Park.

11:00 - 1:00     Lunch With Rosie The Riveter
Join us for a lite lunch and beverages in Santa Fe Park with one of America's favorite war time icons Rosie the Riveter.

MENU: (meals by donation)
Pulled chicken sandwich on toasted brioche with lettuce and tomato - served with a choice of BBQ sauce or mustard vinegarette

Southern style cole slaw

One orange and one lemon shortbread cookie dipped in chocolate

11:00 - 1:00     Book Signing
Andover native, Robert Collins will be on hand at Jackrabbit Hollow to chat about his civil war era book, "Jim Lane: Scoundral, Statesman, Kansan and Kansas Train Tales"

1:00 - 3:00     Book Signing
Hank Shockley will pay a visit to Jackrabbit Hollow to discuss his Vietnam Era book "Hearts: The Story of a Reconnaissance Squad Leader"

2:00 - 3:00     WWII Weapons Demonstration
WWII re-enactors will be giving a demonstration of vintage weapons from the period. Including a grenade toss. Join us at Santa Fe Park to see what it was really like!

4:00 - 4:30    State's Largest Victory Parade
Main Street Peabody is the place to be for vintage military vehicles, WWII reenactors, trams filled with veterans, flyovers and much more!

4:30 - 6:00    Salute To Veterans
Immediately following the parade, come down to Santa Fe Park to enjoy some refreshments and give a big thanks to the men and women who have served our country.

6:00 - 9:00    Puttin' On The Ritz
A fantastic day of events cullminates at the South end of the business district for a fantastic meal and the swingingest tunes around, provided by " A Touch Of Class".

Marinated and rubbed grilled pork chops with grilled pineapple ring


Romaine salade with tomatoes, bacon, shredded cheese - served with a choice of orange vinegarette, ranch or honey mustard dressing


Twice baked potatoes in choice of bacon, parmesan, or herb flavors

For dessert, we will be auctioning off "To Die For Desserts" from the best bakers this side of the Mississippi! This is your chance to try some of that famed Two Hundred Dollar Cheescake!


9:00 - ?    Porch Party
All PHS alumni are invited to stop by to visit and see old friends at 504 N. Walnut.
