Launched in 2008, Operation Celebration: The 1940s is a World War II era festival celebrating the men and women who have served their country.
With over 1000 attendees from 17 different states in 2008, Operation Celebration 2009 promises to be bigger and better than ever!
Operation Celebration features the state's largest victory parade, concerts, museum quality displays, WWII reneactors and much more!
Join us May 23 - 25, 2009 in beautiful downtown Peabody, Kansas as we say thank you to the men and women who sacrificed so much for our freedom!

Founded in 1989, Peabody Main Street Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. One of the first five cities designated by the Kansas State Main Street Program, Peabody is proud to celebrate its twentieth year of operation in 2009.
In 2008, Operation Celebration: The 1940s received the Governor's award for outstanding promotional activity, as well as the Governor's award for outstanding organizational activity from the Kansas Department of Commerce!
